A little about me….
Hi, I’m Danielle!
My life changed forever after being diagnosed with a faulty BRCA gene. The whirlwind that followed—navigating high-stakes decisions, life extending surgeries, and the onset of surgical menopause was overwhelming, especially with limited support. Most people simply don’t understand what it feels like to carry this kind of risk, let alone how to support someone facing it.
When I sought guidance, I often encountered well meaning but clinically detached advice.
I was told things like:
“You’re not even sick yet.”
“Just do screenings and see what happens.”
“It’s probably fine, you might not even get cancer.”
But with a 70% risk of breast cancer, none of that felt comforting or acceptable to me.
When I hit surgical menopause, the comments didn’t get better:
“It’s just a couple of hot flashes.”
“Menopause made me calmer!”
“Throw on a hormone patch and you’ll be back to normal.”
Spoiler: I wasn’t. My experience with surgical menopause was brutal but I came back from it. It took time, resilience, and a lot of trial and error. Every woman’s journey is different, and hormone withdrawal can affect you in ways no one can predict. What you need most is support from someone who’s actually lived it.
That’s why I offer support, empathy, and real world tools, not clinical scripts. You deserve to feel heard, validated, and empowered as you face these life altering decisions. You're not alone, and this season of your life can be met with clarity, strength, and support from someone who truly gets it.
Professionally I have been helping individuals navigate life challenges as a Therapist since 2015. My focus is to help you process your concerns around menopause or a faulty BRCA gene diagnosis so that you can get back to being your best self. They say to be the change you want to see in the world, this is my way of doing that—by offering professional support to you through these major life changes.
